Position Summary
The Senior Warehouse Prep Associate is a hybrid role combining hands-on prep work with team coordination responsibilities. You’ll be a decision-maker focused on maximizing efficiency and throughput, with compensation directly tied to these metrics. Using your experience, you’ll guide the team through day-to-day prep operations, making real-time decisions about workflows, task allocation, and process optimization. The balance between hands-on work and coordination varies daily based on staffing levels and the product mix being processed, making this role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can seamlessly shift between executing work and optimizing how the team operates.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Prep Operations
- Execute all standard prep functions at or above productivity targets
- Handle complex or delicate prep requirements requiring extra attention
- Process high-priority or time-sensitive inventory
- Lead by example in demonstrating proper techniques and work pace
- Maintain consistent quality standards across all prep work
- Build and optimize pallets using strategic placement techniques
Team Coordination
- Coordinate daily prep workflows to maximize team throughput
- Guide team members on implementing “heavy-to-light” processing strategies
- Identify and address bottlenecks in prep operations as they arise
- Provide informal training and coaching to Prep Associates on techniques
- Monitor team productivity and provide real-time feedback
- Make operational decisions on many topics including workflow optimization, task allocation, and quality standards
Process Improvement & Quality
- Implement efficiency improvements with decision authority on workflow changes
- Test and validate new prep techniques or materials
- Manage quality control inspections to ensure zero-defect shipments
- Document best practices and successful process modifications
- Contribute to achieving team efficiency goals that directly impact your compensation
- Provide feedback to management on operational challenges and opportunities
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of Amazon FBA prep experience OR 1+ year of warehouse/fulfillment experience
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed productivity targets consistently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members
- Ability to train others and provide constructive feedback
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous team lead or supervisory experience in warehouse/fulfillment
- Experience with process improvement or lean manufacturing concepts
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems or inventory tracking software
- Track record of identifying and implementing efficiency improvements

Schedule
- Full-time: 40 hours/week.
- Part-time: May vary based on availability, minimum 2 hours per shift.
